.welcome to Emil Ustinescu's website

Hello and welcome to my site. My name is, as you probably guessed it, Emil Ustinescu and I am a young photographer situated in Romania. The whole purpose of the site is to: inform, draw attention, be useful, thought provoking and nevertheless, to present the beautiful side of the world through photography and book reviews.

The site took some time to design, brainstorm and develop, this one coming after an entire year of web design and article writing idleness. Therefore, I find it a bit hard to enter once again in that state in which ideas mix up with words, to finally end up on a piece of paper. So I must apologize from the very start for the future errors I might commit regarding spelling norms. If you see a mistake, just contact me and I will rectify it.

In my school years I have come to the conclusion that life is represented by a finite number of images, rendered by a finite number of emotions and thoughts, stretched to infinity by time. As you can see, in my view on life, it is primordial to see, to feel and to expand, in other words, if the spotlight is moved towards the very basis of the whole concept, I end up with images, words and numbers.

However, personal thoughts, ideas, views, etc will only be present in the “THOUGHTS” area of the site, because I feel that the site’s integrity and usefulness would suffer if they were to be spread out throughout it. Articles situated in the “BOOKS” area will be constructed from a neutral point of view. Each month, a number of three wallpapers will be available for download; a preview of them will also be present on the main page. Subsequently, the wallpapers are free of charge.

After this short description, all you have to do is to bookmark the site and wait for new articles/photos to be published. The rest of the site is yours to discover. In the end, I hope that you will find the site’s design appealing and its rich content interesting enough.

"Come to the edge, he said. They said: We are afraid. Come to the edge, he said. They came. He pushed them and they flew."
Guillaume Apollinaire
